Peshwa Bajirao March 23 Written Update: Will Baji save Parshu?

Baji finds the diamond for the Dandak, from the Krishna Nadi. However, he is disappointed to learn that Parshu was not loyal to him.

The Dandak forces Baji to search for diamonds in the Krishna Nadi in order to tell him about Parshu’s whereabouts. He tells him that anybody who has been in the river prior to this has not come back with diamonds in their hands, but only blood. The Dandak further promises Baji that he will give Baji anything he wants if he manages to remove the diamond from the river. Baji refuses to jump into the river and get the diamond out, to which the Dandak says that even if Baji refuses to do so for the Dandak and the Mughals, Baji will do it for his friend Parshu’s well-being. Baji too then says he will jump into the river and get the diamond but not for the Dandak only for his friend Parshu.

The Dandak threatens Baji that if he fails to get the diamond from the river from him, he will kill Parshu. Baji says a small prayer and jumps into the Krishna Nadi with a whole lot of courage. Baji goes into the river, but at first finds nothing. He resurfaces and tells his friends and the Dandak he would not give up. He reminisces a moment he had shared with his mother wherein she had taught him not to give up or meander from his aim. The Dandak tells Baji’s friends not to merely stand around and watch the show, and instead make themselves useful and do some work.

RadhaBai tells Malhari to run like an ostrich and go find out where Baji has been kept. Tara Bai fights the Mughals and the gaddaars while Raje saheb stands aside, a mere spectator to the fight. Tara Bai kills the gaddaar and emerges victorious. She tells her son Raje Saheb that true victory of a king lies in the blood of the enemy. Meanwhile Nasir Jung manages to reach the spot where Balaji Vishwanath has managed to corner Qamar-ud-in. The Maratha warrior with one supporter fights the Mughals. Nasir Jung saves Qamar-ud-in.

Back at the Maratha palace, everybody is cheering Shiva Raje. Tara Bai defends her son and lies about his bravery. She cooks up stories about how Raje had fought the Mughals with great bravery. She goes on to say that Balaji Vishwanath was wrong and that now, Raje does not need any more training. She tells Balaji Vishwanath that he now must only look after the arrangements required for the Gudi Padwa celebration.

Baji faces a lot of difficulty in the river but finally manages to find a diamond shining bright on the dark seabed. The Dandak is astonished when he sees Baji rise out of the waters with a diamond. He is extremely pleased at the sight that he sees. Baji refuses to give the Dandak the diamond until the Dandak does not bring Parshu in front of him. The Dandak claims that he has let Parshu go. The Dandak discloses to Baji that Parshu is the one who has cheated him. It is he who told the Dandak about Baji’s escape plan. The Dandak tells Baji that due to this, he let Parshu leave as he has no place for cowards in his den. Baji is hurt and disappointed on hearing this.
