Suicide Squad 2: THIS Batman villain gives James Gunn directorial a skip; Deets Inside
James Gunn has begun filming of Suicide Squad 2 over the weekend. While many OG and new actors were spotted on the sets, one OG Squad member has revealed he is not returning to the sequel.
Suicide Squad 2 has officially begun filming. With James Gunn seated on the director's seat for the sequel, the Suicide Squad sequel features a stellar star cast. John Cena, Taika Waititi, Peter Capaldi, Idris Elba, John Cena, Storm Reid, Pete Davidson, David Dastmalchian and Daniela Melchior are coming together to make an unforgettable DC movie. Apart from the new cast, some old baddies are set to return. This includes Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman and Jai Courtney. However, it has now been confirmed that one OG cast member will not return for the sequel.
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who played the Batman villain Killer Croc in 2016's Suicide Squad, has confirmed he isn't returning for the sequel. Talking to Yahoo Movies UK, the 51-year-old confessed he was done with the franchise and is moving on from the role. "I don’t think I need to [do it again], to be honest. I did it, I enjoyed it, it bought me a Bentley and I will keep moving on," he said.
While the actor has opted out of the sequel, the filming of Suicide Squad 2 is going on in full swing. Paparazzi captured the cast, including Jai, Nathan, Davidson, Rooker, Borg, Sean, and Mayling suited up and heading to film their parts for the anti-hero film. Rumours indicate Nathan essays the role of Arm-Fall-Off-Boy, Pete plays Blackguard, Michael is Savant, Flula dons the suit of Javelin, Sean essays the role of Weasal, and Mayling is playing Mongal in Suicide Squad 2. The production house hasn't confirmed the news yet.
