Suicide Squad 2: James Gunn, Sean Gunn, Nathan Fillion & others pose in the FIRST photo of the cast

A few weeks ago, Warner Bros and DC Films announced the long list of cast that will feature in Suicide Squad 2. Fans went gaga when the production house confirmed that the new DCEU movie would feature Taika Waititi, Peter Capaldi, Idris Elba, John Cena, Storm Reid, Pete Davidson, David Dastmalchian and Daniela Melchior. The new faces will join the OG cast consisting of Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman and Jai Courtney. Now, James Gunn took to his Instagram to tease the Suicide Squad sequel with a picture featuring a portion of the cast. 

The Guardians of the Galaxy 3 director is at the helm of the movie and he decided to meet a part of his cast earlier this week. In the picture, Pitch Perfect 2 star Flula Berg, The Dark Knight and Ant-Man actor David Dastmalchian, Brightburn's Jennifer Holland,  

Castle actor Nathan Fillion, Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Endgame's Sean Gunn, and Wonder Woman star Mayling NG pose with the filmmaker. Gunn shared the picture with the caption, "Hanging out with part of #TheSuicideSquad team this weekend. Melchior is essaying the role of Ratcatcher while other cast members' roles are still under the hood. Mayling is expected to reprise her Orana role from Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. However, there are chances she could be playing a different role in the movie. While the picture serves the perfect tease, we wished the entire cast was together to give us an epic first picture of the team. 

Suicide Squad 2 starts filming this month in Atlanta. Suicide Squad 2 is slated to release in 2021.
