Daljeet Kaur demands monthly maintenance of Rs. 1.5 lakhs from estranged husband Shaleen
Television actress Daljeet Kaur has been one of the battered celebrity wives who chose to spoke out against the domestic violence she has suffered at the hands of her actor-husband Shaleen Bhanot. Months ago, she filed a police complaint against Shaleen for having extra-marital affairs, physically assaulting her, attempting to kill her and even demanding dowry.
Although, the police arrested Shaleen on the basis of the report filed, the actor got bailed out soon but avoided giving any bytes to the press regarding the whole issue.
Now, months later, Daljeet had asked for a monthly maintenance from Shaleen for herself and her son asserting that she wants to maintain her standard of living. She wants her ex-husband to pay Rs 1.5 lakh in total - Rs 1 lakh herself and Rs 50000 for her toddler son.
On the other hand, Shaleen broke his silence and rubbished the claims of domestic violence made by Dajleet. "The past nine months have been socially and personally traumatic for me and my family. I am not aware of the complaint being filed against me and my family as yet,” told Shaleen to the daily.
