Bigg Boss 12: This is WHY Shaleen Bhanot opted out of Salman Khan's show
Shaleen Bhanot was said to be a part of Bigg Boss 12, but the TV actor chose not to be a part of the show. And here’s the reason which forced him to take this decision.
Salman Khan show, Bigg Boss always manages to keep the gossip mills abuzz. And it starts much before the show goes on air. Be the contestants participating, or the controversies surrounding them, it surely gives reasons to talk. This year 12 too, apart from the contestants who are inside the house, several other names had come up in the list who were said to be participating in the 12th season of Bigg Boss, and one of them was TV actor Shaleen Bhanot.
It was being said that Shaleen and his ex-wife, Daljiet Kaur would be one of the jodis on the show. However, things didn’t work out and the actor decided not to take part. During an interview with a leading daily, Shaleen said his decision to opt out of the controversial show was due to a deeply personal issue. The actor while confirming that he was approached by the channel for Bigg Boss 12, said, "When I spoke to the makers, they told me that the theme was jodis. They wanted me in the house with Daljiet. But after thinking over it, I decided not to opt for it because of my son, Shaarav."
He further added, "After all that has happened over the years, I am finally in a good space, career-wise and personally. My son and I have got closer, which is a big deal for me. I don't want to do anything to jeopardise it."
For the uninitiated, Shaleen and Daljiet had a troubled marriage. The couple split-up in 2015 with Kaur accusing the actor of domestic violence. Post a public spat, the couple who once were in immense love, opted for an out of court settlement.
