After breaking records on the cricket field, Sachin Tendulkar is all set to show his prowess on the silver screen in his upcoming biopic, Sachin - A Billion Dreams. The film is an upcoming biographical film written and directed by James Erskine and produced by Ravi Bhagchandka and Carnival Motion Pictures under the banner 200 NotOut Productions. The film is based on the life of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Talking about his biopic, Sachin has earlier said, "This film is about that. It is about chasing my dreams. My dream was not only my dream, it was a dream shared by a billion plus people. I was just 10 years old when India won the World Cup in 1983… And that’s when began my journey. I too wanted to hold the World Cup."

Going by the reviews that have been pouring in for the film, we can say that the film has strong content which has made critics write such positive reviews. The viewers have also been appreciating the film. 

According to Box Office India, the film opened on a positive note. The occupancy report in the morning shows is around 30-35%. The film did good in Mumbai circuits especially Mumbai city, Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata.

Sachin - A Billion Dreams released in 2000 screens. On the other hand, Pirates Of The Caribbean - Salazars Revenge opened to a decent opening of around 20-25%.
