Sachin: A Billion Dreams: Sachin Tendulkar and wife Anjali welcome Aamir Khan to the premiere

Aamir Khan attended the star-studded premiere of Sachin: A Billion Dreams in Mumbai today. The high-profile event saw the likes of the Bachchans, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, and AR Rahman attending it. The movie traces Sachin's journey as he ruled the pitch for 24 years carrying the hopes and aspirations of a billion people and smashed records to attain his iconic position in cricket.

The movie will give the audience a window into his real and personal life as they will also get to witness the various roles that Sachin plays in his day to day life.

Helmed by Emmy-nominated James Erskine, Sachin: A Billion Dreams is all set to release on Friday. The film has already been declared tax-free in Kerala, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.

Sachin and Aamir have always shared a warm friendship. The cricketing star has tagged Aamir as one of the finest actors of the country, many a time and has often frequented his movie screenings.

Aamir had recently narrated a funny incident around Sachin where the God of cricket was rooting for Aamir Khan's cricket team in the movie Lagaan. Aamir had said that Sachin was very excited when his team defeated the British team in the movie and cheered for him in the theatre.

On the work front, Aamir will start working on his movie Thugs of Hindostan alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
