Sachin - A Billion Dreams was one of the anticipated films of this year and all the fans were waiting for the film to hit the screen. It released on May 26, 2017, in 2400 screens in India and 400 screens overseas. Sachin - A Billion Dreams is based on the life of Sachin Tendulkar. If you have seen the film, you would have noticed how the parallelly runs between the present day and his old memories.
Sachin Tendulkar's voice became the strength of the documentary. From Virat Kohli to Yuvraj Singh, everyone shared their feelings and how lucky they were to have him around. According to Box Office India, the film has earned INR 23.94 crore in its first weekend. Going by production figures, the film has collected INR 27.85 crore in its first weekend. The film also released in Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and English.
After seeing the film, fans appreciated all his efforts. The emotional bit showed in the film how just a few days after his father's death Sachin went on to play the match. The film also shows the pitfalls and even the loopholes.
Talking about his biopic, Sachin has earlier said, "This film is about that. It is about chasing my dreams. My dream was not only my dream, it was a dream shared by a billion plus people. I was just 10 years old when India won the World Cup in 1983… And that’s when began my journey. I too wanted to hold the World Cup."
