Aditi Govitrikar picks up the role of Mother Ganga in 'Suryaputra Karn'!
Sony Entertainment Television’s ‘Suryaputra Karn’ will be soon joined by exceptionally talented former beauty queen, Aditi Gowitrikar. She will be seen playing the role of the human embodiment of divine river Ganga (Prince Bhishma’s mother); marking her comeback on television after a hiatus of 10 years.
Speaking about the same, Aditi said, “This is my first mythological show and I am very excited. Initially I used to think that mythological shows are not my cup of tea but I love taking challenges. The role of is very interesting and pristine. Bhishma was known for his intelligence, but whenever he was in a dilemma he would go to his mother Ganga and she would help him find solutions in the most interesting manner. This is something which intrigued me about the character and I just couldn’t say no to it.” She further added, “In many ways the role of Ganga is very much similar to how I am in real life. Also my association with Sony TV goes back a long way. My last show was also for the same channel and I am more than happy to be back on it.”
Aditi’s look in the show is completely different from the ones she has donned before. Being a period drama, it’s a challenge getting into the character. “It takes approximately three hours to get into the look of Ganga. The entire look is royal with a lot of drapes and intricate jewellery. I am really sure the audience will love it.”
