"I have been put on antibiotics and pain killers" - Ssharad Malhotraa

After actress Mahhi Vij, it is Ssharad Malhotraa aka Maharana Pratap of the hit show ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra- Maharana Pratap’ who has caught viral fever. He has been shooting despite high fever since three days.

A source reveals that a doctor is visiting the set for the actor. Sharad is also taking antibiotics by injection for speedy recovery and he can't take an off as there is no bank of episodes.

Explaining a bit about his sickness, Ssharad Malhotraa says "I have been having 102 degree fever but I have to shoot as it is daily soap. I have been put on antibiotics and pain killers. Viral is in the air with change of weather. The show must go on, as they say.”

Ssharad’s tight work schedule leaves him no time to party or hand around with pals unlike most actors of his age. "I have very few people in my life. I work for a daily soap and shoot is grilling. I go to set and by the time I am tired and crash out. I don't even get time to catch up on films these days. I am doing a historical which requires lot of me physically and emotionally. A typical soap actor where there is kitchen politics and drama such stuff is not needed.”

Despite carving a niche for himself in the industry, Sharad keeps his feet firmly planted on the ground. "I believe it’s nice to be important but it is more important to be nice. Acting is a passion and profession and one must remain grounded. Success and fame are not forever but your close friends and family will always be yours. Family is very important. Sometimes I do miss my home town Kolkata. My parents keep visiting me in Mumbai, still i miss them,” says the actor who believes in living in the present.
