Ssharad Malhotra to play the male lead in Musakaan post Kasam Tere Pyar Ki went off air?

Ssharad Malhotra has reportedly been approached to play the male lead in the show Musakaan.

Ssharad Malhotra has been a busy bee of late. As soon as his popular show Kasam Tere Pyar Ki went off air, the actor went on a quick vacation to detox himself and is now rumoured to have been approached to play the male lead in the show titled Musakaan. According to the Times of India, the show is all set to go for a revamp and Malhotra will be joining the cast. He will be introduced as the hero of the show with a new storyline in place.

A source associated with the project told the publication, “Ssharad seems to be the perfect choice for the part. He is extremely popular on TV and it will be great to have him on board. We are hoping for things to fall in place, as he, too, has liked his part and the storyline. We are now hunting for the female lead.” The show's storyline revolves around the struggles and hardships of a sex worker and her daughter, Musakaan who faces a lot of trouble because of her mother's profession.

Ssharad recently hit headlines after his breakup with longtime girlfriend Pooja Bisht hit the webs. Pooja accused Ssharad of having trust on his astrologer more than the love. Ssharad too reacted to the breakup saying that he was marriage phobic and hence things didn't work out between the two. He said, "I told Pooja’s mother that I would love to settle down in the future. But being marriage-phobic, I stepped back. That was wrong on my part, I accept it. Things don’t always turn out the way you want; it’s not always possible to judge situations. I didn’t want to hurt anyone, but unfortunately, the matter went out of my hands.”
