Jodha-Akbar: Rukaiya unites with Jodha & other wives to plan surprise to cheer up the Emperor!
Finally, after a long time in Jalal’s palace, happiness is in the air.
Eid celebrations are in full-swing in the Agra city and everyone is busy enjoying the festive atmosphere to the hilt, except Jalal.
Ask how?
Well, we know that Maham Anga was very close to Jalal and after her big expose has been thrown in the jail for being a traitor. Jalal is unhappy and hurt to know that his own people were harbouring ill-feelings about him. The emperor is finding very hard to swallow this bitter truth. Realising Jalal’s pain, Jodha recently discussed the matter with the other Begums – Salima and Rukaiya. After a brief talk, all of them unanimously decided to cheer-up Jalal by arranging a surprise family feast and get-together.
To prepare for the feast, all the Begums joins hands and start cooking a lavish meal in the royal kitchen under the supervision of their mother-in-law Hamida Begum.
While Jodha makes her beloved Jalal’s favorite delicacy, our everyone’s surprise, Rukaiya puts an honest effort to delight Jodha by cooking her favorite halwa dessert. Sweet, no?
Anyway, unknown to all this, Jalal comes looking for his Begums but finds none in their respective chambers. He finally asks Rahim to tell him where his wives have gone. Rahim answers that they have been busy preparing a surprise feast for him in the Kitchen.
Jalal assures Rahim that he will continue to act as if he does not know anything about their plan.
Amidst the celebratory atmosphere, an angry Adham Khan goes to meet his jailed mother Maham Anga and he swears to avenge her insult. Maham Anga tells him to do anything he wants except killing Jalal.
Adham, however, swears to kill Jalal and thus satisfy his desire for revenge as well as power. He arrives in Jalal’s court and insults him. This angers Jalal and he orders him to do all menial jobs and get paid like a servant does. The emperor’s advisers ask him not to spare Adham as he can take any wrong step. But Jalal dismisses the doubts and goes away in a state of sadness.
Little does Jalal know that Adham is up for a dangerous action. Will he be able to kill Jalal or vice-versa? We will see that in the next episode.
