The Naagin franchise has been a super hit with the audiences, and with each season, it looks like the fans only seem to like the show even more. However, the current season of Naagin 3 will soon go off-air and the last episode to be aired will be February 12, 2019. Soon after Naagin 3's exit, Kavach 2 will take the same time slot. Kavach, which first aired in 2016, is also a supernatural drama and was equally loved by the audiences back then.
The show will return with a second season and Mona Singh who was the lead in the first season may not find a spot on Kavach. Apart from Mona, actors Vivek Dahiya and Mahek Chahal too won't be seen this time. Speculations are rife that they will be replaced by Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar to essay the male and female leads, respectively, reported Tellychakkar.
Another interesting piece of information is that Bollywood actress Prachi Desai may make a comeback to the small screen with this serial. A source informed Tellychakkar, “Ram Kapoor, Sakshi Tanwar and Prachi Desai are in talks to star in Kavach 2 in the lead roles. Sakshi will play Ram’s character’s first wife who will be killed by the family and Prachi will then step in as the second wife.“
Back then in 2016, Kavach bagged the top position in the TRP list just within a few weeks of its debut. The bi-weekly show gripped the audiences' attendance and offered something new as opposed to the monotonous Saas-Bahu serials. The track on Kavach revolved around how a wife goes to the extent of saving her husband from the evil clutches of a supernatural possessive lover.
