Namik Paul reveals why he chose Kavach Mahashivratri over Kasautii Zindagii Kay

Namik Paul made it to the headlines earlier last month when reports about the actor joining Kasuatii Zindagii Kay started doing the rounds. While many wondered if he will play Mr. Bjaja, the actor, outright denied any such reports and told that he was supposed to play Vikrant, and that his character arc was great. He revealed how no one would ever say no to a flagship Balaji show and so her agreed. He further added how he was excited to sign the contract soon. However, the real thinking began when Kavach Mahashivratri landed on the table.

The actor went on to say how both Ekta Kapoor and he were left thinking as to what would be better and the actor also wondered that he will be playing the lead in Kavach. He revealed that it took him 10 minutes to say yes. Asked about how the show is another supernatural show, he revealed that he was skeptical about taking the show only because he did not want to be typecast, however, he said he was assured that this one will be different and nothing like his previous roles.

Ekta Kapoor, talking about the decision, further told Midday how she thought that Namik was better suited for Kavach and also revealed how when she saw his tape, she figured that he had a certain personality and hence, he would be perfect for Kavach. She also added how Namik looked brooding and interesting by the looks.
