Mona Singh opens up on being replaced by Deepika Singh in Kavach 2
Deepika Singh is all set to return on TV after a 2-year maternity break. She will be seen in Kavach 2 and has replaced Mona Singh in the second season. Read to know what Mona has to say about being replaced.
Deepika Singh was on a maternity break since May 2017. The actress, who made her mark in the TV industry as Sandhya in Diya Aur Baati Hum, is all set to return with the show, Kavach...Kaali Shaktiyon Se season 2. The first season of this supernatural drama starred Mona Singh in the lead role.
About being replaced by Deepika Singh in Kavach 2, Mona Singh told Spotboye that she was approached for the show, but her schedule is packed for the next 5-6 months. Hence, she is not a part of the upcoming season. Mona said, "But I am equally excited to go on air and I will be glued to the TV screen."
Along with Mona Singh, the first season also starred Vivek Dahiya, Mahek Chahal and Sara Khan. Coming to season 2, Deepika Singh is paired alongside Namik Paul. The actors have shot for the mahurat scene at a Shiv temple in Naigaon, a source informed the portal.
The source added that Deepika Singh was quite happy about being a part of Kavach as she waited for a long time to get a good break.
The actress didn't want to take anything just for the sake of it.
Well, we can't wait to see Deepika Singh in a different avatar and a show completely different from her previous one.
