Paris Fashion Week SS 2018 recently took place in the capital of couture. All the designers showed their new designs and collection while some of them were a hit, some were plain simple bizarre like the towering 10-centimeter platform Crocs that Balenciaga dropped during their spring-summer 2018 showcase.

Clearly, Balenciaga does not fret doing any ugly shoes previously they had released the bulky Triple S sneakers and now they showcased these platform Crocs during Paris Fashion Week. Balenciaga's Spring 2018 collection starred various iterations of its "Foam" shoes in yellow, pink, green, and beige.

In a press statement, Senior Vice President of Global Product and Marketing for Crocs Michelle Poole said, "Working with Balenciaga has been so much fun for our team, and once again demonstrates the relevance of our iconic clog in today's fashion and design world," adding, "as well as allowing us to tap into the excitement and energy that comes from unexpected partnerships."

Obviously, the opinionated world of the internet had a lot of things to say about this creative leap that Balenciaga took. While some people were offended by the platform Crocs and some tuned this rather bizarre footwear into a meme. The Foam line will be available online and in Balenciaga stores in Spring 2018.
