Ranveer Singh on his quirky fashion choices: “I would never do cross-dressing”
Ranveer Singh’s fashion choices have often been the talk of the town because of its outrageous and quirky sense of style
Quirk Singh, Ranveer Singh has literally paved the fashion roadwalk for male celebrities. This one man can wear a floral pantsuit, a pink tracksuit or even a skirt and still pull it off effortlessly. You can love or hate his style but you definitely cannot ignore it. Mediocracy forsure does not hold any meaning in this Bajirao Mastani actor’s dictionary. Long time girlfriend and Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone has even gone on record asking him to stop doing outrageous clothes but for Ranveer his style is like his second skin.
In an interview with GQ India for their April issue, Singh revealed how he couldn't afford fashionable clothes and would wear second hand clothing. He said, “When I was studying in Indiana, I couldn’t afford a lot of fashionable clothes, and wore a lot of hand-me-downs. At any given point I’d have a pair of all-white Ice Cream sneakers, which I’d very religiously wipe with Clorox to get the stains out. But I never fell in line, even in college. I always had a unique sense of style. These really rich kids from Delhi used to wear Gucci trench coats and Louis Vuitton boat shoes to class, while the Americans wore blue jeans and black zip-up North Face jackets, or Abercrombie & Fitch from head-to- toe. I actually used to buy a lot of stuff in Goan flea
markets which, in an American college context, was really eye-catching.”
While Ranveer is all for experimenting he was asked if there is that one thing that he would never wear and he replied saying that he would never do crossdressing as that is a bit too extreme. However when he reminded that he had worn a skirt to an award show,he said, “Yeah but...That’s like a man’s skirt.”
Well in our opinion if there is someone who can pull off almost anything on this planet then it has to be Ranveer Singh. What do you guys think? Comment and let us know.
