In the past few years, the course of the fashion industry has drastically changed and this can especially be true for the larger than life fashion shows done by most design houses. From creating a beach replica to glamming up rusted warehouses, we’ve seen supermodels walk through it all. Now, design houses make sure to make their shows as real as possible and so did Moschino designer Jeremy Scott who took over the New York subway to showcase the Pre-Fall 2020 collection. He set the show in old subway cars at the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn.

The show featured their usual silhouettes that bore exaggerated satire that we’ve usually seen from the designer. Every outfit was ‘street smart’ with a throwback element from the 80’s New York style. It was a callback to the early days of hip-hop with large baggy tracksuits, oversized sweatshirts and large gold chains. Amidst all the super-wearable silhouettes we saw extremely oversized bags and hats which - if worn on an actual subway will only grab eyeballs and weird stares.

This is not the first time that Moschino has created a buzz-worthy collection and show. They are very expressive about the kind of things that inspire them. From spray bottle phone cases to Mc Donald’s uniforms to champagne bottle purses, we’ve seen a lot of unusually inspired apparel and accesories on the runway.
