After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Shetty to star in Mani Ratnam's epic saga?
Now according to buzz, after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Baahubali star Anushka Shetty has been approached for Mani Ratnam's next.
One of the best directors of all time, Mani Ratnam is all set to bring the best cinematic experience for the audience with a historical drama based on Ponniyin Selvan, a Tamil novel by writer Kalki. The historical film will showcase the life of Chola Emperor Arulmozhi. The gorgeous actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has worked with Mani Ratnam in three films, will be playing one of the female leads in the film. Now according to twitter buzz, Baahubali star Anushka Shetty has been approached by the makers of the film. However, there is no official announcement on the same.
Reportedly, the actress has given a nod and is most likely to sign the dotted line soon. Meanwhile, Keerthy Suresh is a part of the epic saga. With such talented actresses in one of the most wanted director's film, something big and better is expected. The epic saga is currently in the pre-production stage and the shooting is likely to go on floors by the end of 2019. Talking to film critic Anupama Chopra at the Cannes film festival, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan recently confirmed being a part of Mani Ratnam's next. She said, "Even though Mani (Ratnam) hasn't formally announced it himself but the word is out. So yes, I will commit to the fact that yes, I am working with him. I won't say I agreed...I will always be more than thrilled, excited, overwhelmed, humbled and just happy to work with my guru, Mani so ya, that is happening."
