Ponniyin Selvan: Trisha Krishnan oozes royalty as princess Kundavai in new poster of Mani Ratnam's film

After Vikram, Karthi and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the makers of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan have unveiled a new poster of Trisha to introduce her character from the film.

The new poster of Trisha Krishnan from PS-1 is here. The makers of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan have unveiled a new poster of Trisha to introduce her character from the film. She looks beyond beautifuland oozes royalty in the new poster. The actress is introduced as a courageous woman, princess Kundavai.

Taking to Twitter, the makers shared Trisha's poster and wrote, "In a world of men, a woman of courage. Presenting Princess Kundavai! #PS1 releasing in theatres on 30th September in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada!"

As Ponniyin Selvan is gearing up for promotions as the film is slated for theatrical release on September 30, the makers have been sharing back-to-back updates. The makers shared new posters and introduced Chiyaan Vikram as Chola crown prince Aditya Karikalan, Karthi as Vanthiyathevan, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as queen Nandini.

The shoot of the Ponniyin Selvan wrapped up after filming for 3 years. The film, the first part of which is set to hit screens on September 30 this year, will release in five languages - Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Ponniyin Selvan is based on a historical fiction novel of the same name, written by author Kalki Krishnamurthy. The novel tells the story of Rajaraja Chola I of the Chola dynasty. 

Jointly produced by Mani Ratnam and Lyca Productions, Ponniyin Selvan star cast includes Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Vikram Prabhu, Trisha Krishnan, Mohan Babu and Aishwarya Rai among others. Siva Ananth is the film’s Executive Producer. A.R. Rahman will be composing the music and Ravi Varman has been roped in for cinematography.
