Hello World: Meet Serena Williams and Alexia Ohanian’s little one, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr
Serena Williams shares the name and photo of her baby-girl.
Ace tennis player Serena Williams and Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian welcomed her first child in September this year. Serena announced her pregnancy on April 20, 2017, as she showed off her baby bump in a Snapchat video.
Serena today shared a photo of her daughter on her social media account. Their darling daughter looks adorable in the snap.
The couple met by chance in Rome in 2015 and got engaged in December. Serena had earlier revealed that it was a ‘surprise’ pregnancy and she “did a double take and my heart dropped. Like literally, it dropped,” when the pregnancy tests came back positive.
About her pregnancy, Serena had said in an interview to a leading publication, “It just doesn’t seem real. I don’t know why. Am I having a baby? I don’t know what to do with a baby... I’ve done absolutely nothing for the baby room”
She also said in an interview to a leading website, “I have been really fortunate and I have had a really good pregnancy, and everything has just been really good. Sometimes I am walking in my house, and I'm like, 'I really like being pregnant.' I never thought I would say that. I am definitely [the type] that enjoys it.”
Serena had earlier revealed that she would like to prepare for a tennis tournament and hoped to be in action in January. But, she said after the birth of her daughter that she is not hurrying to get back on the court. Serena and Alexis are planning their wedding but have not revealed the set date.
