PHOTOS: Priyanka Chopra Jonas cheers for Serena Williams at the US Open 2019 & we miss Meghan Markle
Priyanka Chopra Jonas made her way to the 2019 US Open. She was seen attending the sporting event with her mother Madhu Chopra and cheering for Serena Williams.
This time last year, Priyanka Chopra got everyone talking as she made her way to the US Open with her then fiancé (now husband) Nick Jonas, his brother Joe Jonas and Game of Thrones star (who was also engaged to Joe) Sophie Turner. Selfies from the sporting event flooded the internet and fans went gaga seeing the Priyanka with the Jonas Brothers. A year later, Priyanka has found her way back to the US Open 2019 but this time, the actress attends the sporting event with her mother Madhu Chopra.
PeeCee took to Instagram to reveal that she is enjoying a game of tennis with her mother. Priyanka opted to dress in a floral printed ankle length pencil skirt which she matched with a white blouse. The actress sported a beige overcoat and slipped into a pair of white heels for her day out. Priyanka tied her hair up into a high bun to complete her outfit.
The actress was cheering for Serena Williams. Sharing pictures with her mother and the score board announcing that Serena has registered her 100th US Open win, Priyanka writes, "Amazing to watch @serenawilliams win her 100th US Open! Legend!"
"Also always a fun time with this girl," she added, talking about her mother. While the moment filled our hearts with joy, we would have loved to see Meghan Markle in attendance as well. For the unversed, Serena is one of Duchess of Sussex's closest friends. Priyanka too is Meghan's close buddies. It would have been a great sight to see a mini-reunion taking place at the US Open.
Priyanka has been spending some quality time in New York. The actress, who will soon be seen in Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink, has been spotted stepping out in the Big Apple along with hubby Nick Jonas. She has turned heads every time she has stepped onto the streets this week.
