Pakistan vs South Africa, ICC Cricket World Cup 2019: Fakhar Zaman's battle with Lungi Ngidi to watch out for
Lungi Ngidi will look to bowl a fuller length to Fakhar Zaman in South Africa's clash with Pakistan in the CWC 2019
Pakistan and South Africa - two teams at the bottom half of the table - will meet each other on Sunday, and the clash between new ball bowler Lungi Ngidi and talented batter Fakhar Zaman will be one to watch out for in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
The Pakistan top-order has been led by Zaman, someone who has been consistent in the last two games, and has shown his skills to provide a solid foundation to his team when needed.
The South Africans will be looking to target him early, and Ngidi's role here will be immense. The Proteas have crossed 250 only once in this touranement and will know that, in order to get a win here, will need to restrict their rivals to a below-par score. And if they need to achieve that, Zaman needs to be sent back early.
This is where Ngidi will come into the game. The player, who was injured for a few games, will look to pitch the ball in his offside channel and bowl a fuller or a good length area. The Pakistani likes the ball coming onto his bat, and often walks out of the crease to send the ball soaring. Hence, any delivery near the good length channel will disturb him as he looks to get some room.
