Bangladesh vs Afghanistan: Mushfiqur Rahim's battle with Mujeeb Ur Rahman to watch out for

Mushfiqur Rahim's importance in the Bangladesh team can not be highlighted enough. Batting in the middle order, he holds the unit together and crafts out important and crucial runs with his intelligent and calm batting.

This was on full display in Bangladesh's game with Australia in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, where he scored a hundred in a pursuit of more than 380. His innings helped Bangladesh cross the 330-run mark, and will once again be a crucial cog in the batting order against Afghanistan on Monday.

The one bowler, however, who can pose problems to Rahim is Mujeeb Ur Rahman. The Afghan has even overshadowed Rashid Khan, stepping up to bowl nagging line and lengths. His stock delivery, his carom ball and the wrong 'un is used in tandem, which causes confusion in the minds of the batsmen. By bowling wicket-to-wicket, he cramps up the batters for room, and will be looking to do just that on Monday as well.

Rahim struggles against the off-stump channel, which is what Rahman whould want to target. The Bangladeshi struggles against the ball that comes back into him, and the spinner will be looking to attack Rahim's weakness and send him back early.
