Jodha-Akbar: Will Akbar cheat on his wives to have an affair with Atifa?
Jodha-Akbar has taken an interesting turn even since Khaibar unleashed havoc in the palace on the day celebrations were due to be held in honour of Jodha’s pregnancy.
Khaibar’s life was spared but he is now been held captive in the jail by Jalal. We told you yesterday that the human cannibal has developed fondness for Jodha as he has found someone in the Rajput Princess who could understand him.
Interestingly, on one hand, there is someone developing liking for Jodha, and on the other hand, there is Jalal, who is getting swayed by the new entrant – Atifa.
Jalal has been eyeing this new beauty from Kabul ever since he locked eyes with her for the first time (remember, the bathroom incident?). She is married to an abusive man and their group has been offered a place to work in Agra as per Jalal’s orders.
Jalal often notices Atifa getting abused by her husband and he had once offered his shoulder to cry to her. The other day, we saw him getting mesmerised by Atifa’s singing talent, and he started praising her before the members of his court. Lately, he even took Atifa along for a hunting getaway leaving Jodha behind on some pretext.
He was seen spending private moments with Atifa in the rain away from the prying eyes. By what we see, it is easy to decipher that Jalal has fallen for Atifa’s charms. But is that easy for an emperor of his stature to develop fancy for a woman especially when he has dealt with death in the form of Benazir (the poison girl)?
Well, looks like time will tell what exactly Jalal’s wishes to do. But for now, we know that Jalal’s special courtier, Atgah, is not liking how the emperor has been growing fond of Atifa. But will Jalal listen?
