Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah May 24, 2019 Written Update: Gokuldham residents fret over rising prices
In the latest episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, we see how the society members confront Abdul about the price increase and decide to find a new milk supplier.
The episode starts with Jethalal telling Bapuji that he will have masala milk instead of Tea. Tappu raves about the chocolate milk that Jethalal has prepared. Jethalal gets to know that Tappu wants money hence he's appreciating the chocolate milk. Tappu says he wants Rs 1000 as he and his friends want to go for a movie and then to a restaurant. Jethalal tells him that he needs a detailed statement of the money he's taken from him. Tappu pretends to look for the details. Jethalal complains to Bapuji that Tappu doesn't keep a count. Bapuji explains to Tappu the importance of keeping a count. Just then Abdul comes there with the bills. Bapuji asks him to give the bill to him as he does the financial planning in the house. Abdul wishes that Bapuji should not get upset looking at the bill.
Bapuji asks Abdul if the milk prices have increased. Abdul tells that the prices have increased since a month. Bapuji explains to Abdul why he should have informed them well in advance about the price hike. Abdul is walking back to his store when he crashes into a vegetable vendor. The vegetable vendor tells him not to take tension and that even she had hiked the prices of certain vegetables. The Gokuldham ladies gather to purchase vegetables. She tells them that the prices for certain vegetables have increased. The ladies crib about it and then accept the fact that the prices will increase. Bhide is passing by and wishes everyone a good morning when the ladies reply that the morning isn't good. They tell him that prices have increased and he gets furious and decides to write the daily quote on inflation.
Popatlal arrives there the vegetable vendor tells him also that the prices have increased. Anjali tells the vegetable vendor that they will enquire at the local market and if they find the prices there to be lower then they will stop purchasing from her. After the vegetable vendor leaves the ladies discuss about inflation. Bhide tells them that he has written a quote on inflation. They all are concerned about the rising prices. Popatlal suggests that they should speak to Abdul about giving them a discount on the milk price. They approach Abdul and ask him for a discount. He tells them that he cannot them a discount without cutting his commission. He claims that no one can give milk at the rate that he does.
They all tell him that if they find a place with a cheaper option they will purchase milk from there. Abdul says he is okay with this. Bhide wants to talk to everyone. He tells everyone that a new milk supplier needs to be found. The society members unanimously appoint Bhide for this task. Popatlal agrees to help Bhide in it.
