Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah May 2, 2019 Written Update: Jethalal is framed as the culprit
Today we see how the Gokuldham residents expose the truth of Sevaklal and educate the Garib Nagar residents on the importance of their votes.
The episode starts with some of the Garib Nagar residents getting empty boxes instead of boxes with phones. They get agitated. Sevaklal finds out and gets furious. He orders his men to catch hold of them. Just then another of his men come and tell Sevaklal that all the boxes which were supposed to have 5000 handsets are empty. The goon calls out to whoever is part of the sting operation with Jethalal. All the Gokuldham residents come ahead and stand in a queue to support Jethalal and Taarak Mehta. They all say that they are there to fight against injustice and to expose his scandal. Sevaklal asks his men to check the members for spy cameras. His men remove the cameras from their clothing and Sevaklal squishes the cameras under his feet. All the members are dejected and consider this as their defeat.
Sevaklal's men are about to beat up the Gokuldham residents when Sevaklal stops them and says no one will touch them until the elections are over. Sevaklal says that he will destroy them once the elections are over. Jethalal thinks to himself that they cannot accept defeat so easily and starts calling out to the Garib Nagar residents. Sevaklal challenges them to call the Garib Nagar residents and influence them if they can. Finally all the residents get together and call out the Garib Nagar residents. The Gokuldham members explain to them what is their disadvantage if they give their votes to Sevaklal. They explain to the Garib Nagar residents how powerful their vote is. They persuade them not to give their vote to Sevaklal.
Sevaklal steps forward and tells them that he is for their service and that the Gokuldham residents are instigating against him. Sevaklal tells the Garib Nagar residents to reply stating that they are on Sevaklal's side. One of the elder residents comes and keeps the phone back at Sevaklal's feet. One by one all the members come and give away their phones and deny votes to Sevaklal. Just then Popatlal and Sodhi arrive there with the election authority and cops. Cleverly one of Sevaklal's men twists the scene by saying that he was distributing the phones as it was his b'day. They also say that the phones were acquired from Jethalal and are being distributed to buy votes on Jethalal's instructions. Everyone gets worried.
