Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah April 23, 2019 Written Update: Jethalal concerned about political strategy
Today we see how Bapuji and Jethalal think around the potential political malpractice around the phone order.
The episode starts with Abdul telling the gents of the society on his expectations from the new government. Jethalal asks Popatlal about his expectations from the government. He tells them that the government should come up with a provision of getting all the bachelors married. Jethalal says that it is not practical. They all decide to leave as they have work the next day. As Jethalal reaches home he finds Bapuji awake and wants to know what's keeping him awake. Bapuji tells him that he is awake waiting for him. Bapuji tells him that he was pondering over why the politician bought 1000 phones and asked for another 5000 phones. Bapuji wants to know if he is aware of what's the plan behind this. Jethalal says he doesn't know and doesn't want to know.
Bapuji asks him to dive into the thought of why the politician might need so many phones at such short notice. Jethalal tells him that he is just a businessman and not a detective to know all this. Bapuji tells him that he is a citizen of the country first and then a businessman and he has responsibilities towards the country. Bapuji says what if the politician wants to buy the votes of the needy by giving them the phones for free. Jethalal says that he will call off the deal. Bapuji says he doesn't have to call off the deal and just to find out the reason for buying these many phones. Bapuji tells Jethalal to cancel his tickets for train travel as he will be travelling with his friend the next day. Jethalal and Bapuji go to their rooms to sleep. Jethalal is still thinking about the phone order. He decides to call Paresh Bhai to check why the politician needs so many phones. Paresh Bhai tells him that he also has the same amount of information as Jethalal has.
Jethalal thinks to himself whether Paresh Bhai really didn't have the information or was he trying to conceal the information. He decides to approach Taarak Mehta for help the next day. The next day, Taarak Mehta is engrossed in reading newspaper. Anjali calls out to him however he is still engrossed in the paper which annoys it her. She tells him romantically to get engrossed in her also sometimes. Taarak Mehta tells her that he will need an entire day to get engrossed in her and his work won't allow it. She pretends to get upset and Taarak Mehta tries to woo her. Just then, Jethalal comes to their house however seeing them romancing turns away. He finally decides to get inside the house and interrupt them. Anjali runs inside feeling embarrassed. Taarak Mehta feels irritated that Jethalal interrupted however still welcomes him. They offer him tea and Jethalal suggests that they go out and have tea. Taarak Mehta gets to know that Jethalal is there with some issue.
After a lot of discussion over where to talk they finally decide to talk inside the house. Jethalal tells him what Bapuji told him last night. Taarak Mehta asks him why is he bothered about it as till yesterday he was not bothered about it. They come up with a plan to find out the reason for the phone order. Taarak Mehta is against the idea as he thinks it will ignite doubt. Taarak Mehta tells him that he will have to do it all by himself. Jethalal reaches the store and finds the store well decorated. Jethalal tells them to control their excitement and wants to talk to them about the order. He calls them at the godown to discuss about the phone order.
