Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma March 29 Written Update: Popatlal has a surprise for the Bhides
Gokuldhaam Society members surprise Bhide and family with special Gudi Padwa celebrations.
It is Gudi Padwa and the celebrations in the Bhide household gain momentum. Sonu asks Mr.Bhide why Gudi Padwa is celebrated. Her parents narrate to her the story behind the reason for celebration and then they conduct the pooja and set up the Gudi in their terrace. They then pray for a healthy, hearty and prosperous new year for their friends and family. Mr.Bhide gets emotional after he blesses his daughter. Sonu offers to make some puri’s and her mother pulls her leg while her father supports her. Then Mr.Bhide decides to take a stroll in the society. Sonu, worried to ruin Popatlal’s surprise tries to prevent her father from stepping out. They telephone a relative and have a chat. Nandu then calls Mr.Bhide up and wishes him a happy new year. Sonu tries to make small talk with her parents and keep them busy with innumerable phone calls to various relatives.
Mr.Bhide discusses with his family, that nobody in the society remembered that it was Gudi Padwa. Just then he hears a drumroll and steps out into his balcony to see what the commotion is all about. The entire society wishes the Bhide’s happy New Year. The entire society is filled with colour, music and dance. An atmosphere of enjoyment engulfs each and every individual in the society. Popatlal makes an announcement in the society and welcomes the Bhide’s to the Gudi Padwa celebration.
The Bhide’s are extremely touched that everybody has planned a surprise for them. Jethalal in his broken Marathi wishes the Bhide Family a happy new year. One by one everybody wishes them in their own unique way. Sodhi lifts him up and spins him around and Popatlal in his humorous way wishes the Bhides.
Madhavi and Aatmaram Bhide tell the society people that they reminded them of their village Gudi Padwa celebrations! Sonu distributes sweets to the entire society. Everybody makes fun and jokes about the sweets as they have neem leaves in them which help in digestion. The entire society sings and dances while Aatmaram Bhide sings a beautiful Marathi song about Gudi Padwa.
