There were Makar Sankranti celebrations recently on the sets of Zindagi’s popular fiction show Bhaage Re Mann.
The afternoon turned into an enjoyable kite-flying affair comprising Karuna Pandey who essays the role of Padmini along with Chandan Anand (Raghav), Nishad Vaidya (Rohit), Ankit Narang (Ashutosh), Vasundhara Kaul (Jyoti), Arshima Thapar (Anvita) and Priya Marathe (Sneha). Chandan Anand and Ankit Narang were seen getting involved in a friendly competition with their co-stars rooting for them. The cast soaked up the festive air and savoured the savoury til-ladoos to their heart’s content.
Karuna Pandey dressed for the occasion. “I absolutely love the festival of Makar Sankranti. Seeing burst of colourful kites flying in the sky, meeting friends and eating a variety of delicacies is what I look forward to every year. However, since I am shooting this year, I thought of celebrating this festival with my team and we all had a fantastic time and it was exciting to see my co-stars enjoy kite flying,” said the actress.
An avid animal lover, she added further, “It’s great to enjoy the festivities but people should be careful while flying kites and not harm birds.”
Chandan Anand commented, “It was fun flying kites with my co-stars as it brought back my childhood memories. I have always been fascinated with flying kites as a kid and was always a pro at it. After a long time, I got a chance to fly kites and was quite surprised that my skills were not as rusty as I thought.”
