Actress Karuna Pandey is one versatile artist. Mainly known for her negative roles, the audiences were in for a surprise when she took to playing a completely positive character in Bhaage Re Mann. While in a tete a tete with us, she elaborating on switching from a negative to positive role, her ideology of performing perfect on screen and why she chooses to eat, live, sleep acting!

How difficult is it to convince audiences for a vamp while suddenly portraying a positive character?

Its not about convincing the audiences. The people who work in the industry, have a particular mindset while casting the actor. They know which character whether negative or positive can do justice to thier role. Until and unless the image of a vamp is very negative, it doesn't matter much. For me as an actor, it's not difficult. You just have to play your part convincingly.

How different is it working for TV from working for Bollywood.?

Yes, of course there is a difference. In Television, we have very less time. We have to be more on the spontaneity side. The tracks keep on changing. According to TRPS, the tracks keep on changing. For a movie, the screen, actors and etc are all locked. You do not have to rush. You have time to give to yourself in movies as compared to tv. Movies give you more of the breathing space than Television.

How did you prepare for the character in the movie, Bollywood Diaries?!

Well, my character was very different from what I am. She is too mature and too calm. I am not at all like that I am bindass person! Too chirpy! I was asked to put on weight for the movie to suit my character of a 45-year-old woman dwelling in a small town. I was skeptical, but I wanted to act with Mr. Ashish Vidyarthi. so I took it up.

How passionate are you for acting?!

I am very passionate about acting. I am born to dance and born to act.

Tell us about your upcoming projects?!

Right now I am working for Bhaage Re Mann. It is scheduled to go off air in May. But we will get done with the shoot in April. After that, I will see. But right now, I am not working on anything else.

Your message to the aspiring actors?!

Manzil toh milhi jayegi, bhatakar hi sahi, gumrah toh woh hai jo gharse nikalnege hoi nahi! You have to push yourself, come out of your comfort zone! It is not that easy, not that buttery. You will have to keep your cool, your patience. Learn and keep an observation eye open.

What will the audiences get to see in the upcoming episodes of Bhaage Re Mann?!

Padmini and Raghav are developing emotions for each other after 20 years. Raghav knows that he is in love with Padmini. and she too will realise her feelings for him in the upcoming episodes.
