Supriya Pathak on sister Ratna Pathak Shah being a part of Khichdi: I'd love to work with her
Supriya Pathak Kapur, during an interaction with a leading tabloid, spoke at length about her family's reaction to the promos of Khichdi, sister Ratna Pathak Shah and more.
Supriya Pathak Kapur is all set to be back on the tube with one of her most loved characters, Hansa Parekh in the show Khichdi. People have been waiting to see this character for a very long time.
When a leading tabloid asked Supriya about her family's reaction to the promo of Khichdi, she stated, "They are all thrilled. Sanah [Kapur, daughter] loves the show. My son Ruhaan, who lives in America, is also fond of it. He is difficult to please and is my biggest critic. Pankaj [Kapur, husband] said he liked the promo; once the show goes on air, I’ll get a full diagnosis [laughs]."
Earlier there were reports that Supriya's sister and veteran actor Ratna Pathak Shah was also supposed to be a part of the show. Talking about it, Supriya said, "I had heard the rumours, but I guess it didn’t work out. Ratna and I did a film recently and enjoyed the little time we worked together. I’d love to work with her. We’ve reached an age where we are more compatible with each other."
Interestingly, Supriya and Ratna's mother Dina Pathak was also a part of the first season of Khichdi. When asked about the same, Supriya said, "She was a wonderful woman and I truly miss her. Maybe I didn’t value her as much when she was alive, but now, we [Ratna and I] feel the void. When she was here, we took her for granted. The weird thing is that she was shooting for Khichdi in July and died in October. Khichdi was the last project she shot for."
