Mahakali 8th October 2017 Written Update: Shumbh is killed by Devi Kaal Ratri
Devi Kaal Ratri calls up on all the Devis and they kill Shumbh.
Today's episode starts with Devi Kaal Ratri welcoming Shumbh for a war and promises that she would leave Mahadev and be his forever. Shumbh falls into the trap and is spellbound by Devi. Kartikeyan sits angrily at his father and says he would blame him if Shumbh escapes his death today. Mahadev asks him to trust his mother if not him. Devi Kaal Ratri faces Shumbh. Devi Kaal Ratri asks Shumbh to be clear to his followers about not being in a trap and him accepting to fight Kali. Shumbh makes it clear that he is doing this by his own will. Then Devi Kaalratri calls upon all the women and devis whom Shumbh disrespected.
Devis arrive and Shumbh says this is not right as he had agreed to fight only Kaali. The devis tell him that every woman has Mahakali in her and Shumbh sees Mahakali take form from the devis. Shumbh decides to run and stay away from her till sunrise as he knows he has been fooled. Kali follows him everywhere and tells him that this is Kaalratri and so he cannot escape from her.
Mahadev and Kali one by one tell Shumbh the strength of womanhood as she strikes him to death. Shumbh dies.
The devtas bow before Kali and Kali now remembers how Shiv had pushed her to her own destiny. She tells him that he was the one who pushed her to the limit where she new she had no limits and also again he was the one who stopped her from killing Shumbh before as that would have made questions arise on her.
Shiv and Parvati return to Kailash and Kartikeyan welcomes them.Kartikeyan tells his parents that this month has been very dear to him as he has learned so much about his parents and witnessed the nine forms of Parvati. Shiv introduces them to the last form. Parvati fulfills Kartikey's wish and says the month will be known as Kartik maas.
Shiv says he also hold this month very dear and says that he would want all the forms of his shakti to be venerated and the power of woman re-instated in this month. Vishnu too says that he will in his many avatars make this month very special.
Kartikeyan is worried for his mother Parvati as he knows she has not eaten since morning. They hear the cry of a woman and Parvati listens. All of them in disguise reach the spot and see a woman crying over her husband’s body.
Kartikeyan with his mother look on as she cries to Parvati and Shiv so they could return the life of her husband to her. As Parvati walks ahead Indra stops hers saying this is a natural circle of life and she cannot change it. Parvati says she will not but this common woman will do that herself. They try to dissuade the woman from keeping her husband’s body but she is stubborn that either she herself should be taken with her husband or he should be returned to her.
Parvati tells the woman that she should go and find an earthen pot and till then Shiv and Parvati will keep her husband safe. She goes in search of the pot as Indra tries to stop her in all the ways.
