Keith Sequeira & Rochelle Rao go on a cleanup spree after Ganpati Visarjan
Keith Sequeira and Rochelle Rao participate in a social cause.
A cleanup drive was organized at Juhu beach after the final Ganesh Visarjan was concluded on the 11th day of the festival. Every year we've seen shocking images of parts of the idols scattered in dirt & plastic around the beach. So much for people's love & devotion.
While a lot of activists have been aggressively promoting the eco-friendly route & bringing home idols made up of bio-degradable materials, but the plea of a few hundred have fallen on million deaf years. Over the last few years, Television & Bollywood celebrities have been creating awareness on the pollution caused during festivities.
This year a clean -up drive on Mumbai's suburban Juhu beach was organized and actor Keith Sequeira and his beau Rochelle Rao was present for it. They were accompanied by Dia Mirza, Vivek Oberoi & few others.
The Love Ka Hai Intezaar actor Keith Sequeira said, "While the entire city was rejoicing with the visarjans, our beaches are in a dire condition. When I was approached for this cleanup drive, I didn't think twice before saying yes and in fact, Rochelle told me that she too would love to join me as it's a cause she really believes in too. I have seen images floating on the Internet of the conditions next day but I have to tell you when I saw it in front of me with my own eyes, I was shaken. I wish we would go eco-friendly and not harm our mother earth which has given us such a beautiful life and planet to live on. We live in a beautiful country, I wish we took pride in our country & treated it well by keeping it clean."
