Nach Baliye 9 has already started and while the first week introduced the 12 different couples of the season, this week will see them competing with each other for the title. Among others, it is Keith Sequiera and Rochelle Rao who participated together in Bigg Boss as well, who will be seen dancing to the tunes of romance and guess what, fans have already been rooting for them. In an exclusive chat with the duo, we asked if they would have been comfortable coming with an ex, given the twist in this year's theme and what is their idea of working together for the first time post marriage. Excerpts from the interview:
Nach Baliye 9 is your show post marriage together. What are you most excited about?
Rochelle: Initially, I was a bit apprehensive when they offered me the show as I wasn't sure if I was ready for another reality show. But what made me finally agree to do Nach Baliye is to have Keith actually explore himself as an artist, and for me to have the opportunity to learn how to dance. So it was mostly for him and for us both to also have some fun!
Keith: I think personally I am most excited to dance with Rochelle. To dance on specially choreographed dances is something different for both of us. Together we are getting to explore so many more dance styles with our excellent choreographers, which has given us this all-new experience to enjoy together.
What makes you the best fit for the title? Who has the dancing bone between you two?
Rochelle: I think that we have both figured out that we are kind of non-dancers and have a lot to learn. Though Keith is definitely better with being more disciplined about his body and staying healthy, I have a bit more flare but tend to get distracted easily. So both of us have a lot to learn and a long way to go.
Keith: I feel that Rochelle has more of the dancing bone than I do. Though both of us have a lot to learn, so we are just helping each other out as we go forward.
There are exes participating as well. Would you be okay participating with an ex?
Rochelle: I am on good terms with a few of my exes, but speaking about dancing with them, well, probably not. I mean it is hard enough dancing and learning how to move your body, fighting the exhaustion and tiredness while doing it with somebody whom you love! So doing it with someone who you already have friction with would be quite impossible for me.
Keith: Rochelle and I personally have great chemistry, and in spite of that it is still quite difficult to dance together. So for me, I can't really see how it's even possible to dance with anybody else.
Your biggest competitor?
Rochelle: I don't see anyone as my personal competitor, but the competition is really strong this time. Anita Hassanandani, Shraddha Arya are really big on television and have a huge fanbase. Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary, have a good balance of both, as they are good dancers and have a strong fanbase too.
Keith: It is honestly tough to say anything at this point, though everyone here has their own unique style of dance. Aly Goni, Natasha, Prince Yuvika and even Shraddha are all great at what they do including their fanbases which are huge!
