Neha Kakkar gets body shamed by Gaurav Gera; the latter apologises for mocking her
Kiku Sharda and Gaurav Gera got mired in controversy yesterday after they took sly digs at Indian Idol 11 judge Neha Kakkar. They mocked her for her singing and even went on to body-shame her. Now, Gaurav Gera has apologized for the same.
Yesterday many Neha Kakkar fans got disappointed as a video of the actress being mocked by two popular comedians started doing the rounds. We're talking about comedians Kiku Sharda and Gaurav Gera, who took a sly dig at singer Neha Kakkar and passed derogatory comments on her during comedy sketch. This did not go down well with the beautiful singer, who then took to her social media to express her displeasure and lash out at the makers for disgustingly body-shaming her. She was aghast by the comments and called the act utterly shameless. Neha's brother, Tony Kakkar also came out in her support and vented out his anger on social media.
And now Gaurav Gera, who was part of the whole controversy has come out in the open and apologized to Neha Kakkar for hurting her. In a conversation with Times of India, said that he did not want to hurt Neha as even he is a big fan of her. Parising her he said that he appreciates her talent and he is no one to judge her. He clarified that their idea was not to hurt anyone, and they only followed the channels sensibilities. He added that Neha mustn't have any haters and this was not done because we have any hatred toward her. He cleared the air and said that he is merely an actor who enacts whatever is written by the team. The makers are much more sensible and have a working equation with Neha as she is the judge of their show Indian Idol 11.
Gera concluded mentioning that he tries his level best to be at bay from controversies. He sincerely apologized to Neha for unintentionally hurting her and said that he loved and respected her. For the unversed, the controversy erupted when in a show called Dr. Pran Lele, Kiku Sharda and Gaurav Gera mocked a had a short-heighted actor playing Kakkar's role, constantly selfies and talking in hashtags.
