What made you say yes finally to the show?
Actually, I don't like saying 'no' too much and they had been approaching me, so I was finally like 'let me take this up'. This is a once in a lifetime experience and why not explore it? I will be without my phone, living with strangers, do all your household chores, it will be exciting. I discussed it with my friends and family and except me, everyone was confident about the show.
How excited or nervous are you about the new concept of the first finale in four weeks?
I am very excited. I really wish I get the finale ticket by the end of the fourth week (laughs).
Gopi is how you are popularly known as. Are you here to shed that image?
Not exactly. I have done a lot of photoshoots post that. I have never reflected my Gopi's on-screen image on my social page. I have never pretended to be Gopi in my real life. Eventually, I feel that people who don't know me as me will be surprised to see me. Those people who have seen me in sari as a bahu, will see my true self and I am happy about it but shedding an image is not the objective of taking the show.
What is the toughest thing to give up?
I am not addicted to my phone so much, so I don't think that will be a problem. But yes, I am active on social media. So, that will be a problem I feel and also selfies.
Are you someone who is short-tempered or is patience a virtue for you?
I will just try to be myself. There is no strategy in mind. I am short-tempered with my close friends as I care for them and I don't expect them to do stupid things. But I am also patient if I think there is no use of saying things.
Did you have any apprehensions on how people might perceive you by the end of the show?
I was apprehensive a bit earlier but again at the same time, 'kuch toh log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna.' People say a lot of things about our PM too, 50% hate and love. Similarly, for me and I am not much bothered. People will hate you, but there are also people who love you.
