In an exclusive chat before entering the Bigg Boss 13 house, Rashami Desai spoke to Pinkvilla on her objective behind entering the show, what is she nervous about and the apprehension being misconstrued.
Bigg Boss 13 has officially begun and the one name which has left everyone rooting for is Rashami Desai. Rashami has been a popular face on television for the longest time. She started off with Uttaran, followed by Dil Se Dil Tak. The actress has finally said yes to the show after a lot of resistance. In an exclusive chat before entering the house, Rashami spoke to Pinkvilla on her objective behind entering the show, what is she nervous about and the apprehension being misconstrued. Over to her:
We know you had been approached several times. What made you say 'yes' finally?
What made me say yes? I never thought about it. This time also when they first approached me, I was not ready. But they told me this time the show format is very different. So, I asked them what is different and they informed me that no commoners are coming, it is only celebrities from all fields and there will be two finales. I did not understand that but I was told people who are being fake and not performing up to the mark, will be out.
Often, a lot of things that happen on the show are being judged and people form opinions based on that. It could be positive and negative, both. Did you have any apprehensions?
Definitely, it was there earlier in my mind. But sometimes you just need to do certain things for yourself, either it will make you or destroy you in your own eyes. So, most of the times, while taking a decision we think what will people think because after all, we are answerable. But you have to also answer yourself as to what you are doing in certain situation. People are just here to talk, but I want to explore myself more. I don't think there is any harm.
What is the objective behind doing the show? What do you want to achieve by the end of it?
I am doing this because I had the fear of doing this show. I have always been in the news for something or the other and sometimes I am not even a part of the event and yet my name is dragged. I always focus on my work. I am sure when I come out, I will be a stronger woman, for sure.
People would perhaps try and provoke you inside. Are you prepared for it?
It happens outside as well. At least in the house, there are a few numbers of people, outside half of the world says things about you even when they don't know you. I know definitely that they are going to grind me (laughs).
Have you followed the previous seasons? Who was your favourite?
I have not been following religiously; the only season I followed on and off is Bigg Boss 11. I liked Vikas and Hina's game inside the house.
What will you miss while away from the real world?
The most important person I will miss is my younger brother. I am very attached to him.
