Ex-Bigg Boss contestant Swami Om who is known to rake up several controversies found himself in a weird spot after an angry mob pounced on him for speaking against the triple talaq verdict.
What happened is, Swami Om who was present at the Supreme Court premises to stop Deepak Mishra from becoming the next Chief Justice of India, reportedly said that the apex’s court verdict on Triple Talaq will result in jeopardy of men's freedom and that women will get more independence as compared to men.
This statement of his infuriated the crowd so much that they did not hold any bar to beat up this self-acclaimed God man.
He made huge headlines when he was arrested by inter-state cell of crime branch in connection with a theft case. The self-proclaimed Godman was accused of stealing cycles from the shop owned by his brother, nine years ago. He had sparked several controversies while he was in the Bigg Boss house. However, doesn't seem like he has learnt anything from that.
The Supreme Court yesterday pronounced a historic judgment against the practice of triple talaq in the country calling it 'illegal, sinful and retrograde."
