RIP Reema Lagoo: Rakesh Bedi remembers his Shrimaan Shrimati co-star
Rakesh Bedi expresses his shock over Reema Lagoo's sudden demise.
Veteran actor Reema Lagoo's sudden demise came as a shock to everyone. Along with B-Town celebs, her co-stars from her Television days also came forward to pay their tribute to the late actor.
Rakesh Bedi, who worked with Reemaji in the popular sitcom Shrimaan Shrimati, through a Facebook post expressed his shock. “Deeply saddened by the sudden demise of my dear friend an colleague of Shrimaan Shrimati Reema Lagoo,” he wrote. Rakesh Bedi played the role of Archana Puran Singh's husband who gets attracted to Reemaji's character in the show.
Further, talking to a leading daily, Rakesh said, “When I got the news in the morning, I was in shock. She was such a dear friend. It was so nice to work with her. In fact, the show became so popular that everyone remembers it till today."
He also went on to say that he was, in fact, mulling over coming back with the second season of the show. “There are so many of these old shows that are coming back. Just a few days ago, I was thinking if we can make a second season of Shrimaan Shrimati. And then today, I got this news. It’s shocking." he added.
Recalling the time he spent with Reemaji, Rakesh said, “I used to trouble her a lot. And then after some time, she would get irritated and even angry. But then she would be fine after some time and again we would be talking. This used to go on and on. She used to trouble me too. But, of course, the main ingredient behind all this was love.”
The actor passed away at 3.15 AM on Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
