She said, "Sleep goes through stages of repair, regeneration of brain cells and forming of new learning pathways and these happen in 4-5 stages. The body also distresses while it sleeps.
She added, "If the body does not repair itself, it will not provide the right strata for weight/fat loss. Hence, sleep is imperative for weight loss. Sleep puts a cap on inflammation, improves your ability to function in the morning with energy and focus. It also positively affects your ability to exercise and endure."
Simple tips and tricks for weight loss by nutritionist
We also asked her to reveal some tips and tricks one can follow to lose extra weight in a healthy manner.
Her first tip is about having a balanced diet and how one should not follow all fad diets.
She said, "The diet has to be balanced, has to be based on foods that suit the individual. Fad diets are not an option as they are quite unsustainable. The diets have to keep changing to keep losing the fat." Her next tip was about workout diet. She said, "The right amount and combinations of proteins and carbs have to be added pre and post-workout meal.
Her last but not the least suggestion was regarding how one should never go on a starvation mode as it will only backfire. She said, "The individual cannot be starved as this only promotes poor metabolism and sends the body into starvation mode."

Aside from helping weight loss, there are many health benefits of good and sound sleep. One of them is keeping heart healthy. Lack of sleep can trigger blood pressure and cholesterol levels and the same can lead to deadly health issues such as heart disease and stroke among others. It also prevents cancer, stress and inflammation among others. This is not all, proper sound sleep also reduces the risk of developing depression and it also improves our memory.

Apart from sleep, one should follow a healthy and balanced diet supplemented with 30-40 minutes of any physical activity.
