A normal blood pressure – mostly in the range of 120/80 mmHg – is the force of blood pumped by the heart on the walls of the arteries. In case, the blood pressure is persistently at a higher rate than normal, it directly affects the heart and circulation of blood in the body by rupturing blood vessels and leading to blood clots in the arteries.

Sadly, there are no glaring symptoms of high blood pressure. It is also referred to as a “silent killer”. This is a huge drawback as it leaves very less scope for people to find out about the condition. If left unnoticed for a long period of time, uncontrolled high blood pressure can lead to severe heart diseases such as stroke or dementia.

While there is no determining factor of high blood pressure, Dr Rajiv Dang, Medical Director, Max Hospital, Gurgaon lists out some signs of high blood pressure that you should not ignore.
