Today all of us are very focused on our body and health. We work very hard to maintain a balanced diet and workout regime. But sometimes we just can’t understand what to do and what not to do. With a world full of too much information we find it difficult to differentiate between myths and truth. But it is very important to understand the thin line between the weight loss truths and myths. Weight loss has a major impact on our lives and health and this is where no knowledge or incomplete knowledge can be dangerous. You don’t want to lose your health along with those kilos. Don’t burn your body instead of the calories. Here are some weight loss myths decoded for you.
1. You need will to lose weight!
Nope, that one is a lie. No matter how much will you have, all that hard work is futile if you don’t have biology on your side. If you have a medical condition that causes weight gain it doesn’t matter how hard you try, you won’t be able to lose weight until and unless it is cured.

2. Being thin means you’re healthy
It could also mean you are malnourished. Size and weight do not define your health. The number you see on the scale and the size you see in the mirror are not what makes you healthy and fit. Health and fitness mean having a good well-nourished body, free of toxins and health conditions. Being thin does not necessarily mean that you are healthy.

3. Diets work
That one is a blatant lie. Juice cleanses and crash diets and unhealthy diets do not work. It’s not how much you eat rather it’s what you eat that makes a difference. It’s important to have a balanced and healthy diet, not a crazy diet that starves you.

4. Intense workout means more weight loss
That’s not how your body works. Working harder in the gym does not mean that you will lose more weight. Sweating it out won’t work if you don’t maintain a balanced and healthy diet.

5. Carbs and calories are bad for your health
That is not true. Your body needs a certain amount of carbs and calories to run. You cannot deny your body of all carbs and calories. A healthy carbohydrate and calorie intake are good for your body. It lets your body create energy and fuel to work.
