Here is how you can treat cervical spondylosis with the help of acupressure as suggested by a yoga expert
With expert tips from grandmaster Akshar, know the right trick to treat cervical spondylosis with acupressure effectively. With the right technique and pressure, you will be able to sense great relief in your neck.
Cervical spondylitis or spondylosis are conditions related to the neck and spinal regions. Some of the common symptoms that are associated with this condition include stiffness in the neck or back area, numbness, dull throbbing pain, or sharp shooting sensations in the neck, dizziness or vertigo and fever.
Even though our bodies are blessed with an excellent range of motion many of us do not use this. Instead, we lead largely sedentary lifestyles where we spend long hours in a seated position. This perpetual sitting position due to desk jobs when combined with lack of physical activity, bad posture, and poor nutrition can give rise to many health problems such as cervical spondylitis.
To prevent or effectively manage this condition it is important that you begin moving and stretching your body. Exercising regularly not only keeps pain and signs of ageing at bay but also makes you feel youthful and active. Along with yoga, acupressure can effectively help you manage pain and other symptoms of cervical spondylitis.

Here are some effective acupressure therapy techniques that you can use and prevent or manage the condition of cervical spondylitis:
Actively press both your arms using your palms. Massage the entire arm towards the front and back using as much pressure as you can comfortably apply
Sit down on any comfortable surface and bring your feet towards you using your palms. Massage the soles of your feet in an attempt to generate heat.
You can also use your fingers to get in-between your toes massaging your toes along with the entire foot.
There is a pressure point that lies on your right palm between the middle and the ring finger. You can either hold and put pressure on this point or ask someone else to do it for you. Be sure to press this spot for 1 minute continuously.

Before you begin any of these acupressure techniques it is important that you warm up the body. This can be done with the help of a yogic technique known as sukshma vyayam.
Sukshma Vyayam can be translated into subtle exercises that help improve your flexibility, range of motion, strength, stamina, and endurance. This is done at the start of the day to ensure that your muscles remain flexible and can perform at their maximum functionality.
Sukshma Vyayam includes rotation of all the joints including the ankles, knees, hips, wrists and shoulders. Gently stretch out the neck regions and prepare yourself in this way to practice acupressure. You can also practice some Pranayama or breathing techniques such as Anulom Vilom, Kapal Bhati and more for effective healing of the mind and body.
