As the wedding and festive is coming up and most us are heading out to shop for gold and gems Dhanteras, we thought we would frequent you with some of the trending jewellery pieces so you are well aware of what to shop this Dhanteras.

1. Tassels

Tassels are having a major moment in the world of fashion! From tassel earrings that are shoulder length to tassel necklaces, are a big trend and you must add it to your jewellery trousseau.

2. Shoulder dusters

If there’s one thing you should be adding to your jewellery box this season, it’s Shoulder Dusters. Subtle is done and dusted, 2017 is all about more is more.

3. Jadau, Kundan and Polki

Another big trend is to invest in Jadau, Kundan and Polki. People often get confused between Jadau, Kundan and Polki, so here is the difference.

Kundan is jewellery that is embedded with glass beads. Polki uses the same technique, the only difference being that the stones here are not glass but uncut diamonds called Polki. And finally, Jadau is a technique that also uses Polki, Meenakari and Kundan but the technique varies a bit from Kundan work.

4. Maatha Patti

Maatha Pattis has been around for a while and makes for a gorgeous crown of the queen that you are. Mughal jewellery is becoming popular again and the pearl Bindi in the middle of a matha patti makes for a beautiful point of focus.

5. Chokers

The choker is not only for your casual day wear to make it grungy but they also come in several desi options like in oxidized silver or in your choice of stone. It instantly adds a touch of chic to your look.

6. Chapka or Passas

Passas instantly add that touch of royalty to your bridal look. They have been worn by several celebs and even Mira Rajput wore it at her wedding. If a huge elaborated Passa is too much for you then go for a Raaj Kumari Passa.

7. The graceful double-layer

This lyrical, double-stranded trend is also a popular one. Simply wear a choker and the layer it with a long necklace or you could also try this trend for matha pattis. There are ready made double layers available in the market too.

8. Nath

Another great addition to your festive look can be the nathani! Not the passe' "Aishwarya Rai from Jodha Akthar Nathani" but the traditional Maharashtrian Nath can be a good trendy place to invest your gold.
