What? Kate Middleton also sneakily broke the royal protocol?

The future Queen of England broke the royal protocol multiple times and no one noticed!

Just yesterday, the Duchess of Sussex made an appearance at the British Fashion Awards. The expectant mother wore a black velvet Givenchy gown to honour Clare Weight Keller as the Best Womenswear Designer. While Miss Markle was there, she raised some eyebrows with her fashion choices.

Instead of opting for a nude manicure, the Duchess went for a rather bold choice. Meghan was seen matching her nail paint with her black gown. In spite of the news of ‘Broken Protocol’, the Duchess’s bold choice didn’t break any protocols. However, there is an unofficial rule that the Royals need to wear presentable nude colours to royal arrangements and we think the Fashion Awards should be excluded from this list. A royal correspondent also made a statement about this protocol to Bazaar saying “There’s no actual protocol about dark nail polish, it’s simply about being appropriate—we’d never see this at a royal engagement. [The British Fashion Awards ceremony] is a celebration of fashion and there’s a lot more flexibility on what one can wear.”

Well, if we look back the new royal wasn’t the only one who went for a bolder choice. Kate Middleton has broken the protocol and people hardly noticed. The only difference between Meghan and Kate is that the future queen wore it on her toes. Kate has been seen multiple times with dark nail polish.

Back in 2012, she opted for a dark pedicure. However, she went in for a neutral shade for her nails for two appearances.

Just last year, the Duchess of Cambridge grabbed all the attention to her bright pedicure that contrasted with her white dress.

We definitely think that both Meghan and Kate looked stunning with the bold choice of nail colour. What are your thoughts about it?
