Navratri 2019: Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Janhvi Kapoor give us Garba looks to rock this festive season
Listed below are some B’Town inspired outfits which you can totally rock at this year’s Navratri
The most happening part of the year has already kickstarted and we certainly cannot keep calm. While Ganesh Chaturthi preps us up with the happening beats, Navratri helps us in getting in the groove. Of course all of us remember classic Garba tracks like Sanedo, Odhni and Pari Hoon Main, right? And Falguni Pathak? She is definitely the glam guru and the one who makes us dance to her beats, quite literally!
India’s very own Gujarati Tomorrowland, Navratri is all about dance, music, colour and a lot of dressing up. This vibrant festival is celebrated for over nine days and revolves around worshipping Goddess Durga. Post the nine days, Hindus celebrate Dusshera which marks Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana. Durga Puja on the other hand is celebrated for Goddess Durga’s triumph over demon Mahishasura. During the 9 days of Navratri devotees observe fast, chant the holy mantra and follow the 9 day colour code.
One of the best parts about this festival is that you get to dress your heart out. There is absolutely no limit to this and you can never be too overdressed. You can go extremely elaborate with your hairdos, jewellery, over the top ghagras and look your stunning best. Bollywood has always managed to lead the pack with their over the top and on point fashion looks.
As usual our Bollywood celebrities are the best inspiration for us when it comes to dressing up. Listed below are some B’Town inspired outfits which you can totally rock at this year’s Navratri.
Go chic like Kareena Kapoor Khan

If you’re in the mood to experiment and not cast yourself in the regular mould then opt this look by Kareena Kapoor Khan. Go for a beautiful and intricate pastel monotone number and you’ll be good.
Bling it away like Jahnvi Kapoor

It is the season of going all out and blingy. Go the typical Gujarati way and blend in the colours of Navratri. Opt for a heavy mirror work lehenga, a stunning backless choli and hot smokey eyes.
Go contemporary fusion like Ananya Panday

Not in the mood to go the conventional way? Then here’s Ananya Panday giving us some major cues. Opt for a sexy crop top and team it up with a pair of tiered sharara pants.
Blend in with the Navratri vibe like Sonam Kapoor Ahuja

This one has to be one of our most favourite looks. We love the colour, the print and especially the silhouette. The vibe of the outfit syncs in beautifully with the festival.
Give your lehenga a spin just like Katrina Kaif

Wanting to create your own sense of style and dress code? Well then give your lehenga a modern twist and opt for a softer, more English colour instead.
Bold and red like Alia Bhatt

If dancing is on your list and the lehenga is too heavy for you to carry around; then choose a heavily embroidered and worked kurta and palazzo pants just like Alia Bhatt.
Spell magic like Anushka Sharma

Another one of our favourite. This one is definitely going to make heads turn for sure. Opt for a kurta and palazzo set in a bright satin hue with broad golden embroidery, a sleek hairdo and heavy jhumkas.
With so many options for your perusal, it’s time for you to pick one which suits your vibe the most. Who’s look did you find the best? Comment below and let us know.
