Guillaume Henry, the creative director of Nina Ricci is stepping down from his position after holding position for three years. Rumors of his departure started making the rounds before he even presented his Fall 2018 collection in Paris, but they were crushed down by the fashion house calling it false and fabricated news. However, the house has now officially confirmed his departure.

Henry took over the creative director’s position at Nina Ricci in 2015 post the departure of Peter Copping. Before joining Nina Ricci, he was credited to be reviving Carven as he was the creative director of the label in the early 2010s. At Ricci, his collections were more dramatic and theatrical as compared to the sensuous femininity at Carven. His collections at Nina Ricci didn’t always garner him much critical acclaim. However, his creations were worn by the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna and Bella Hadid to name a few.

The fashion house is yet to name the new creative director.

Seems like this is the season of swapping as most of the creative directors of flourished fashion houses are stepping down from their esteemed positions.
