The Royal's doing a red carpet appearance is a rare sight, however, the second time in a row we saw the British royals attend the BAFTA in London.

In keeping with the Time’s Up campaign, we saw celebrities turn up in black outfits as well. Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence, Margot Robbie, Salma Hayek, to name a few, graced the event wearing all black.

However, Kate Middleton showed up wearing an emerald green Jenny Packham floor-length own which had a v-neckline and with a thin black velvet ribbon tied around her waist with a bow behind her back.Diamond and emerald neckpiece and earrings, a black clutch, were her choice of accessories. Kate Middleton looked radiant and was glowing as she wore heavier makeup than her usual smoky eyes. Glossy lips gave finishing touches to the look. Hair worn in a soft shiny bow dry was the cherry on top of this radiant look.

The Duchess of Cambridge was accompanied by her husband, the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William. Most people were wondering why Kate Middleton did not wear black to show her solidarity towards The Time’s Up campaign and there is a good reason behind it.

Kate Middleton picked an emerald gown instead of black, as members of the royal family stay away from anything political (they don't even vote), Kate decided to follow protocol and opted for a dark green Jenny Packham gown, which she accessorized with a black clutch and stunning emerald jewels.
