The Pinkvilla Fashion Review : Baar Baar Dekho

Though the movie has been getting mixed reviews, there is no denying that when it comes to fashion, this movie is giving us some serious goals. Here is what we thought of the looks of the two lead actors of Baar Baar Dekho - Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra.

Katrina's Style 

Katrina's styling is oh-so-refreshing in this movie. She has donned different hairdos and changed up her looks pretty often. As the cast is traveling in time,they have tried to show drastic changes by incorporating them in her hair styles. 

The movie starts off with Katrina's teenage years where she is seen wearing glasses that magically disappear as she gets older, guess she got Lasik or wore lenses. Her style in her teenage years has a lot of prints and cute dresses and playsuits paired wth sneakers and her rimless glasses. She is seen sporting a bob-cut with fringes in this part. 

As she transcends into adulthood Katrina looks beautiful in every frame. She has not left any opportunity to flaunt those abs! If you've got it, you better flaunt it, right? Watch out for her outfit at her gallery launch, where she wore a white shirt tucked into jeans along with a long sleeveless cape. It was so simple yet chic.

In the marriage sequence of the film, her saris are simple and she is seen wearing them with bindis and oxidized jewelry. Her sangeet sari that she wore in the popular song Nachde Ne Saare is one of the best looks from the marriage sequence.

Her honeymoon looks are easy-breezy and beachy. From ripped shorts, oversize dresses, crochet bikini cover ups to fringe hem kimonos and tassel hem off- the- shoulder tops she looked stunning in every frame. 

In the future sequence, Katrina has a bob cut. She has stuck to fewer prints and her outfits get a tad bit more boring and basic. She is seen wearing a solid color, like reds and blues. We loved the red dress and houndstooth print coat she wears at another one of her gallery launches. 

Out and out her style is great though it gets a tad bit boring towards the end. 

Sidharth's style :

Since Sidharth plays the role of a mathematics professor in the movie his style is very dapper. The movie starts off with Sidharth as a clean-shaven teenager in basic jeans and T-shirts. 

His style gets more mature and old school as he transcends into adulthood. He is seen wearing checked shirts with rolled up sleeves, waistcoats and broad ties. 

Sidharth's light blue sherwani, with a dark blue, indigo Nehru jacket and a printed pocket square, is one of his best looks from the movie. 

His vacation style in the honeymoon sequence is very cool and casual. He has worn half sleeve, solid color, printed shirts buttoned down with light color ganjis on the inside along with chinos and loafers. 

As Sidharth gets older, his style looks more haggard and mismatched, considering the character is going through a tough time in the movie the look is justified. 

As the movie skips to 20 years forward technology has been shown to have changed drastically! However, the same has not been reflected in the fashion of the movie. The way people dress is still the same even in 2035. 

Hair and Makeup: 

The hair and makeup of the actors are very neutral and basic, Katrina is mostly seen in nude eyeshadows with lots of blush and mascara and nude shades of lipsticks. 

If you are  fashion lover and love spotting the fashion in a movie, then you will surely enjoy Baar Baar Dekho and drool over all of Katrina and Sidharth's looks.
